The Board of Directors of World Citizen Peace are excited to announce our new Executive Director, Dennis Hart, PhD.

Dennis Hart steps into the Executive Director’s position as the World Citizen Peace community wishes Kathy Millington a happy and much deserved retirement after twenty years of committed leadership, service and friendship.

Dennis Hart comes to World Citizen Peace with a deep commitment to inspire and empower others to create cultures of peace here at home and abroad. His extensive experience involves international education consulting, peace and justice program development, grant and fundraising, marketing and communication as well as university teaching and mentoring. From his teaching as a professor at Kent State University and the University of Pittsburgh to his work as Program and Executive Director at Michigan State University and the University of St. Thomas, respectively and as Inaugural Associate Vice-President at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, Dennis Hart has proven leadership skills and a commitment to peace through creative problem solving, strategic planning, and partnerships. Presently, Dennis is founder and CEO of Optimus International Education Consulting and lives with his wife in St. Paul, Minnesota.

The Board of World Citizen Peace whole-heartedly welcomes Dennis Hart and his leadership. Together we look forward to our next new chapter, actively sharing our Five Peace Actions, deepening content for Peace Education, supporting a greater network of Peace Sites, connecting with our international Peace Ambassadors, all to meet our mission to empower people for a just and peaceful world.
